Mindanao Political Articles Archive

Sourced political articles on Mindanao governance: impeachment records, ICC timelines, legislative votes, policy conflicts, and governance decisions.

About this archive

These articles cover political and governance topics that have enough documented evidence to analyze in depth. They are not news updates or opinion pieces. Each article exists because an event produced enough official documentation to report rather than summarize.

How stories are selected

An article is published when an event has at least one named official source: a court filing, official statement, agency record, or verifiable news report with enough documented context to explain what happened and why it matters for Mindanao politics.

Source requirements

For legal claims, sources are court filings, official tribunal records, or credible news reports citing proceedings directly. For budget and contract claims, sources are official records or agency statements. For political event claims, at least one named official source is required.

Fact-checking

Claims are checked against primary sources before publication. Where a claim from one source conflicts with another, both are noted. Unresolved disputes are explained as disputes, not resolved editorially.

Update policy

Articles are updated when official records change what was previously stated: court rulings, revised agency figures, official responses, and legislative outcomes. Update dates appear in the byline.

Legal and political sensitivity

Several articles cover ongoing legal proceedings, allegations, and contested political records. Where information is still subject to legal process, the article notes that explicitly.
