Inclusion criteria

A person is included when they hold or have held elected or appointed public office in the Philippines with direct relevance to Mindanao, or when they are documented in official legal proceedings, formal party records, or sustained credible news coverage with clear public-interest relevance to Mindanao politics. Inclusion is not based on prominence, name recognition, or family connection alone.

Why each person appears

The note at the top of each profile explains the specific reason for inclusion. Some figures are current or former elected officials. Some are involved in documented legal proceedings. Some have public-interest roles connected to formal political structures.

Update policy

Profiles are updated when official status changes, court proceedings advance, election results are certified, or credible new reporting adds documented context. Updates are noted in the byline.

Sourcing

Each profile ends with a source list. Sources are named news organizations, court records, official government statements, or party records. Anonymous or social media sources are not used to make factual claims.

Neutrality

Profiles describe the public record. They do not endorse, criticize, or characterize figures beyond what the documented sources support. Where a figure faces allegations, the profile notes that the allegation is unproven unless a legal finding has been issued.
