Local details to know
Camp Sabros lists ride packages on its site: a ₱200 roundtrip cable lift, ₱250 for the 380 meter zipline with the lift, ₱350 for the longer direct ziplines, ₱450 for a combo, and ₱600 for an all rides package covering the cable lift and the 380, 520, and 800 meter ziplines. Horseback rides are ₱200. From Digos City, vans run toward Camp Sabros for about ₱100 and drop passengers at Sitio Barras.
By car, the turnoff is at Sitio Cogon on the Bansalan to Kidapawan highway, then about 27 kilometers up to the parking area. Davao del Sur tourism recommends arriving as early as 8:00 a.m. to catch the Mount Apo view. From the parking area below the camp proper, Camp Sabros lists four options: hike up for about 20 minutes, ride habal-habal, ride a horse, or request shuttle service in advance.
Cloud cover often builds around the summit by midmorning. Camp Sabros has cabins and houses for overnight guests rather than tents, since tent camping is not allowed.
Rates run from about ₱3,500 for a small suite up to ₱15,000 for the larger houses, with several mid sized cabins in between. Bookings are made online with a one night deposit, and the camp lists landline and mobile numbers along with a Facebook page for inquiries. Arrivals are handled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The longest listed zipline route is 800 meters, with 520 meter and 380 meter options for shorter rides.
